A Whitecourt resident is playing online video games for a good cause.
For the third straight year, Devin Pearce has pledged to play games and raise funds for kids at the Stollery Children’s Hospital by working with Extra Life, which is a gaming and DIY fundraising platform supporting Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
Pearce will be playing games and streaming through Twitch and has set up a fundraising page on Extra Life, as well as a Facebook page for donations.
100 percent of the proceeds go to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.
Pearce is doing a themed stream once a month to encourage and celebrate the support of the charity.
Tomorrow, February 27, is going to be “temporary tattoos” and for every dollar donated he will place a temporary tattoo on his body. He will also be doing a Lego build during the stream from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pearce’s goal is to raise $1000 USD ($1,270 CAD).
